UFC - The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale (June 21, 2008)
Thu, 2008-06-19 22:30 — Bevois

The Ultimate Fighter 7 - Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest concludes on Saturday, June 21, 2008 with The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale live from the Pearl at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. TUF 7 featured 32 middleweight fighters, who had to fight their way into the house on Day 1. The 16 fighters who earned a spot in the house were then split up between coaches Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Forrest Griffin, who will battle for the light-heavyweight title at UFC 86 on July 5th. The main card of the TUF 7 Finale will air live on Spike TV from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (EST/PST).
The main event features former middleweight champion Evan Tanner vs. TUF 3 champion Kendall Grove in a bout that pits two former contenders who are eager to get back on the winning track. The TUF 7 Finale will feature the season's darkhorse in Amir Sadollah who had no professional experience before joining the show against TUF 7 favorite C.B. Dollaway, who is the same man Sadollah beat in the semi-finals. Dollaway has a chance to avenge that armbar loss to Sadollah, after earning a unanimous decision victory over Tim Credeur in a match to replace original finalist Jesse Taylor. Taylor was removed from the finale due to controversy after a night of drinking that saw Taylor kick out the window of a rented limousine.
The televised card also features TUF 1 champion Diego Sanchez against American Top Team fighter Luigi Fioravanti, Miletich trained Spencer Fisher faces a fellow Iowa based fighter in Jeremy Stephens, as well as a grudge match between TUF 7 rivals Dante Rivera and Matthew Riddle.
