the east coast only has a handful of schools, which are few and far between compared to the west coast, where you can find academies loaded with black belts on every street corner. the CBJJ originally held the Pan Ams in Orlando, FL and it tanked, which is why they moved it to Cali. this is the same reason why the UFC held every event in 2006 in Cali/Vegas with the exception of Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3. smart business dictates you cater to the masses. instead of whining, get a better job or get good enough to interest sponsors.

p.s. i don't know your background, but doing good in a few east coast shows shouldn't make you say something like "i could win if i could compete". that's like saying, "i was the star of my high school basketball team, i know i could beat Kobe if we ever played one-on-one." :rolleyes:
