    I'm broke and trying to find ways to train somewhere.

    Do offers of cleaning mats etc work???

    I've offered some cash up front at some places but they all tell me that dreadful phrase "MUST GET ON CONTRACT."

    I have done it before but usually at a smaller gym and not one of those super large we teach everything gym.

    Hey Comish I have a friend over a Millennia named Carlos Garcia. Do you know him and how is he doing. I used to roll with him and he trained some at Todd Medinas for a while.

    Everyone is hurting these days gym owners too. You should offer to help find new guys to sign up in exchange for training. then go recruit some heads.

    there u go! u know, that's how I started the martial arts when my parents wouldn't pay for it :o

    best of luck and super cool that you're getting a chance to audition your mat cleaning skills for a chance at an exchange for training. Millenia has the topest of the top athletes.

    now just make sure u clean the mats properly and consistently so they never want to get rid of u! :)

    We're pretty good about cleaning up the mats. We've got a guy that comes in at least once a day to completely clean the whole gym. We could always use some extra help.

    I was there a little after 6 n' nobody came n' got me. I'll be back there today for Javi's 7:00 BJJ class.

    That would always work too. If you can bring in a few guys then we can always work something out. I know guys that train for free who have brought in quite a few of there friends... and there friends.
