Jake Rosholt and Johny Hendricks make their WEC debut on November 5th

    Fri, 2008-09-05 19:22 — Bevois

Shane Roller made his WEC debut at lightweight on August 3rd, where he choked out Todd Moore via Guillotine Choke in 3:00 of Round 1. Now his fellow Cobra Kai/Team Takedown teammates Jake Rosholt and Johny Hendricks are set to make their WEC debuts on November 5th at WEC 36. The event was originally scheduled for September 10th, but it was postponed due to Hurricane Ike. Rosholt (4-0) fights American Top Team's Danillo Villefort (8-2) at middleweight and Hendricks (3-0) fights 7x WEC veteran Alex Serdyukov (8-4) at welterweight.

Jake Rosholt - 3x NCAA Division I champion, 4x All-American, Big 12 champion, 3x Oklahoma high school state champion.

Johny Hendricks - 2x NCAA Division I champion, 4x All-American, 3x Big 12 champion, 3x Oklahoma high school state champion.

Rosholt's opponent Danillo is an old friend of mine. We used to be judo teammates growing up, when Danillo moved from Brasilia to Rio. He's a bb in judo and jiu-jitsu, and has pedigree: his father, Master Francisco "Indio", used to be one of Carlson Gracie's sparring partners, and has fought in hundreds of vale-tudo fights. He ended up being the chief of security of Brazil's senate (pretty bad ass), and is a really humble, cool and funny as hell ogre-looking old man (strong as shit) who loves his “choppinho” and talking about the old days.

Sorry for getting a little off the topic... Just thought I’d share. Anyways, should be a good fight!!!
