Thu, 2008-12-11 15:03 — sonicbh
What's up guys. I just booked my flight to LA for the 2009 ADCC West Coast Trials! I wanted to see who all is going from here and who is all going to the East Coast trials? I am going to try and hit both if I don't make it on the first try but money is tight so who knows! Anyways just wanted to see who is coming?
ADCOMBAT.COM post
The 2009 ADCC North American trials are coming up. As previously announced here on ADCC News http://www.adcombat.com/Article.asp?show_na
me=ADCC&Article_ID=16969 there will be 2 trials, one on the West Coast, at the Long Beach Pyramid on January 10 & 11, 2009 and the other one on the East Coast, in the New York area (location to be announced) on January 17 & 18th, 2009.
The official website for the trials, adccusa.com is under construction and will be finished and working later this week. In that site you will find complete information to sign up along with a registration form and entry fee payment option with credit card etc.
BE AWARE however that site is under construction and the dates shown for the trials is INCORRECT (correct dates are the ones shown above)
Additionally women's trials will be held at the West Coast location ONLY during the Jan 10 & 11. Additionally there will be only 2 women's weight classes: Under 55KG and over 55KG
Stay tuned to ADCC News for more official updates on the trials

Jake
Insane
This is insane that the tournament for the west coast is basically three weeks away and there is no info up as far as time limit of the matches or registration.
shit me i just gave up and registered for the adcc pro jiu-jitsu tourney instead i knew i could only do one or the other.
I don't blame you.
I don't blame you at all atleast all the details are released with that. I am going to try to make that as well.
Where does one find info on that?
Just got word from Guy Neivens that the US trials have been postponed until May 09.
Jake
Your kidding right
Considering I booked my plane ticket and hotel already for the west coast trials. If this is true wouldn't they have posted it already?

2009 ADCC North American Trials Postponed

Due to a series of venue booking conflicts, the local organizers of the 2009 ADCC North American Trials announced that the trials are officially postponed until May 2009. The trials were originally scheduled for the month of January 2009. Organizers regret the inconvenience this may have caused competitors and fans alike.
There will still be 2 USA trials in 2009, one on the West Coast in the LA area and the second one on the East Coast. Winners of each trial automatically qualify for the main event later in 2009.
As previously announced there will be only one women's trials and it will be conducted simultaneously with the men's West Coast trials.
Women should have the same amount of trials as men. Moreover, women should have no less weight classes than the last fucking time they held them.

you obviously haven't been to an ADCC. men dominate this sport and there aren't enough top level women to warrant more divisions/trials.
you remind me of one of those Title IV dorks that wants to get rid of wrestling programs so girls can play softball in college.
You remind me of a mental midget that opens his mouth about a subject without possessing insomuch as a single source.
There are LESS trials for women then there were the last time. FACT. No one is asking for "more" trials, just the same amount as last time.

are you referring to the time you tried saying that Matt Brown vs. Ryan Thomas wasn't televised on PPV, when it was?
or are you referring to the time when you said Joe Daddy, Rude Boy, and Kendall never helped teach at Cobra Kai, when they did?
oh I know, you're talking about the many times you talk about how you hate Zuffa, Dana White, and Brock Lesnar, but openly admitted you were at UFC 91.
in a nutshell, you're a mental midget that opens his mouth about a subject without possessing insomuch as a single source.
