Training Question

    Tue, 2009-02-03 08:24 — grappler149

Hey guys I'm new to the forums but I wanted to get your oppinions on something. I have wrestled for the past 10 yrs, and i am now finishing off my senior year of collegiate wrestling, over the summer I began to do some no-gi grappling and really enjoyed it. I also am an avid fan of jiu jitsu and want to start training after my season. The problem is that where I go to school there is not really any well known/established places to train. There are however a couple of smaller schools where the quality of jiu jitsu has been suspect. my question is this would it be better for me to hold off on going to these schools and wait until I have the opportunity to train at a better school, or go and start training and then eventually move on when the opportunity presents itself? Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

I say go ahead to and train at the small school. as long as you're not able to tap the instructor you'll be good to go.

Train where you can now and move on as you need to. Good luck.
