Anyone have any good lifting routines?
Thu, 2009-03-05 11:52 — 21tomlinson
Hey guys. Along with my 3 day a week jiu jitsu training, I also do a lot of running. But I've never really been a big weight lifter. My cardio on the mat is good but I've noticed that I usually lose to guys who are stronger than me if they have the same technique level. So I would really like to start hitting the weights and putting on some muscle. Just wondering if anyone has any good lifting routines that they use and have had success with? Thanks!

Try a crossfit workout. It is a total body workout...
Contact Bigginz who post here. He is a personal trainer and can probably answer all of your questions. I am not very big into weight lifting so I do it only a few times a week and I am old school when it comes to lifting.

Check out Men's Health Power Training. Great program based on core strength and olympic lifts. It's creator, Coach Robert Dos Remedios is building these SUPER athletes at a Community College in SoCal. I work out 3 days a week w/ amazing results. Check out www.coachdos.com.
Learn how to do complex lifts, imo. 3x a week should make a big difference. t-nation.com
