UFC - Fight Night 18 (April 1, 2009)

    The UFC is set to make its first foray into the state of Tennessee on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 with UFC Fight Night 18, also referred to as UFC Fight Night - Condit vs. Kampmann, which will take place at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This will mark the first major MMA event in the state of Tennessee, since state lawmakers legalized the sport in the summer of 2008. The 12-bout fight card will be headlined by a highly anticipated welterweight bout, between WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit and former UFC middleweight contender Martin Kampmann. The event will be televised on Spike and will serve as a prelude to the premiere of The Ultimate Fighter 9 - United States vs. United Kingdom, which will be coached by Dan Henderson (US) and Michael Bisping (UK). UFC Fight Night 18 is set to air at 8 p.m. EST/PST with TUF 9 following right after at 10 p.m. EST/PST on Spike.
