Fighter Compensation Question

    Noticing the paydays for this past WEC and two blaring questions came to mind.
    1. Why did Manny Gamburian make more than the fighters on the main card?
    2. Most of the fighters earned pittiful amounts of money for thier efforts. Are most of them under contract and recieving a base salary, in ADDTION to what thier fight purses are?

    Thanks......very helpful info,however my main question is still unanswered: I know who Manny is, BUT I still dont understand why he made more than Faber or Brown?

    What kind of Perks do you give a guy to compensate for a two thousand dollar purse for a fight they trained 10 weeks for? I did the math...if an under card guy gets three grand for a fight...and they fight four times a year, thats not much to live on?
