Ran long (espeically on Saturday), but this event literally had over TWICE the amount of competitors as any previous IGJJF.
Javi Vazquez vs Jeff Glover was one of the best matches I've seen in a long time. Tons of back and forth action, tremendous skill, and a last second finish. Seriously, if you didn't enjoy this match, you don't like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, it's as simple as that.
Where the heck did Rick Liddell come from? 19 year old black belt from Utah had everyone scratching their heads to start, but he gave a hell of a match to Javi before getting finished, then he came back to finish Johnny Ramirez and Frederico Sabbatini in rapid fashion.
Bill Cooper. Awesome. Chris Moriarty. Awesome. Chris is a bad match up for Bill however.
Fowler put on an impressive display of skill and humongous heart. Ryron gave it everything he got and it was one of the very rare times I've seen Mike tired. Ryron looks almost like a robot as he competes, very friendly guy before and after his matches however.
Lots more, long thoughts here, including play by plays of most of the black belt bouts:
