Hey fellas, this is my first post. Hopefully I can add something to the forum. I work for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office in Florida. I have worked here for 4years now. I have always had a passion for BJJ ever since I was a kid watching Royce do his thing in the early days of UFC. I grew up watching wrestling like most kids and loved every bit of it. I ventured off into boxing for awhile and then I got hooked on BJJ. (Thanks to the gracie family)
Well... I guess my first question is what do you guys/gals think of the training you have received at your department in regards to ground fighting?
I personally think JSO's training is very weak. It could be that I have a constant willingness to learn ground fighting. But the problem I found is that it was so basic that I didn't get anything out of it. And other people in the department that never did it before seemed to not care one bit. (saying they think the training is gay because you have to lay on another guy)
