The Lucky Gi Story:
One day I sat down with B.J. Penn and David Camarillo and we started talking about how we would change the gis we got from Brazil. How they fit funny in some places or how the pants limited movement in the guard with different collars. Those conversations on the mat back in the 90's would go on every time someone would bring a new gi back from Brazil or Japan.
I lived in Brazil for 3 years and visited 8 gi factories and got over 50 sample gis made there. It was a real learning experience for me from the cotton, to the material, to the cutting and sewing of the gi. I then traveled to Pakistan (Where I was almost kidnapped!), China, and Taiwan to learn more about gi manufacturing in order to produce the highest quality gi. The Lucky Gi is redesigned from the cotton it is made from. It is American cotton that is woven into a new weave, that is 620 grams, and soft and smooth on the inside. The pattern for the Lucky Gi has been redesigned by an old veteran suit designer. This is the only sport cut fitted gi on the market. No other gi fits like this one. Available in Limited Quantities.

can i custom order this for a0
received new pants
OTM's customer service is great, they just sent me out a new pair of lucky gi pants to replace the ones that tore and it looks as though its completely redesigned?! Different colored stitching, double stitches instead of singles, have rolled in them a few times a week for past couple weeks and these new pants seem to have none of the issues related to the old ones. Really can't say enough good things about OTM's customer service! -m
Great Style / Poor Quality :-(
Seam tore first time I put the pants on (not grappling, ACTUALLY PUTTING THE PANTS ON), and after about 4 classes worth of rolling the stitching has basically started falling out everywhere.... However, it does look totally sick and is definetely still my competition gi (I originally purchased it for the Connecticut Open Championships back in December), but I rarely take it out of the Lucky Gi Bag it came with for training anymore, because its just too fragile... -m
