The Lucky Gi Story:
One day I sat down with B.J. Penn and David Camarillo and we started talking about how we would change the gis we got from Brazil. How they fit funny in some places or how the pants limited movement in the guard with different collars. Those conversations on the mat back in the 90's would go on every time someone would bring a new gi back from Brazil or Japan.
I lived in Brazil for 3 years and visited 8 gi factories and got over 50 sample gis made there. It was a real learning experience for me from the cotton, to the material, to the cutting and sewing of the gi. I then traveled to Pakistan (Where I was almost kidnapped!), China, and Taiwan to learn more about gi manufacturing in order to produce the highest quality gi. The Lucky Gi is redesigned from the cotton it is made from. It is American cotton that is woven into a new weave, that is 620 grams, and soft and smooth on the inside. The pattern for the Lucky Gi has been redesigned by an old veteran suit designer. This is the only sport cut fitted gi on the market. No other gi fits like this one.Available in Limited Quantities.

Any name brand (not some unknown brand) of Judo Gi should fit your requirements. As far as I know there are basically two different types of Judo Gi. There is the single weave, and the double weave. The double weave is the heavier of the two. But remember that Judo Gi are designed for rough use. Just be sure to use the size chart (for that brand) when ordering. Martial arts uniforms are notorious for not being sized the same from one brand to another. Also pay attention to if the Gi is Pre-shrunk, or not. Chose properly, so that you didn't have to make use of this video)))
