The Blackmat Foundation has finally moved out of the garage and into a new 1750 sq-ft location in the City of Whittier, 12200 East Washington Blvd, Whittier, Ca. 90606. After completing our first month we have had many new kids and young adults, ranging from 7 years old to 25 years old signing up.
Erivan Conceição is one of the top athletes trained at the Champion Academy, of Luiz Dórea in Bahia, Brazil. With several titles in boxing, the fighter landed in Rio de Janeiro, where he trained with great fighters like Nogueira brothers, Anderson Silva, and Rafael "Feijão" Cavalcante.
Elena "Baby Doll" Reid has entered the mix for the Bellator women's flyweight (115-pound) tournament, which is set to begin in August. This could potentially put Reid in a field that is rumored to have the likes of Japanese supertsar Megumi Fujii, English standout Rosi Sexton, and undefeated Bellator veteran Jessica Pene. Those three women are widely considered to be among the Top 5 women's flyweight fighters and all three are dangerous submission-oriented fighters. Meanwhile, Reid is easily the most accomplished female striker to make the transition into MMA.

Gabriel Kitober has been studying jiu-jitsu for the better part of two decades all over the world. He has competed at every level of competition, including placing twice at the Worlds. After teaching in Brazil and the United Kingdom, Gabriel has now relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he is teaching and training with some of the best fighters in the world. Gabriel is also one of the guys that helped Scotty from OTM win his first gold medal in Brazil.
Dana White has worked hard for Mixed Martial Arts to be accepted by the mainstream media and has helped regulate the sport in various regions all over the world. Over the weekend, Dana slipped to 11th place in TIME's 100 Most Influenical poll. This is Dana's first appearance in this presitgious ballot.
