    Chris Holdsworth wins his second TUFF-N-UFF title

    LAS VEGAS – On Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Chris Holdsworth collected his fifth straight victory in under 3 minutes in amateur mixed martial arts. In the process he earned his second title inside the Las Vegas based TUFF-N-UFF Amateur Fighting Championships. The 22-year-old Holdsworth, who holds the rank of black belt in jiu-jitsu under Marc Laimon, earned his first TUFF-N-UFF title in the featherweight (145-pound) division last August with a first round submission of Justin Linn.

    My name is Jason Scully.  I'm a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training under Jared Weiner (Lloyd Irvin) who owns BJJ United.  I'm helping organize a grappling tournament in Wall, NJ on April 3rd 2010.  While I know there are bigger tournaments out there such as Grapplers Quest and NAGA.  The people running this new event which is called "Head to Head Grappling" are looking to have a consistent tournament in the tri-state area for those who want to compete more and get ready for these big events.

    Vinicius “Draculino” Magalhaes is one of Gracie Barra’s big names, having trained since 1985 alongside Carlos Gracie Junior and Renzo Gracie. After beginning judo as a youngster in Rio de Janeiro, he went on to take up surfing as many young men do. Through surfing he met Renzo and Ralph Gracie, and began training jiu-jitsu in 1985. Draculino originally intended to become a lawyer in adulthood but as we know now, he set that aside and concentrated on competing in jiu-jitsu and producing students who would become champions.
