Ken was one of the first American BJJ Black Belts the "dirty dozen" who were the first 12 non-brazillians to get there belts. It is still argued wether he was the original non-brazillian or the second to get his belt he is for sure either the first or second though, Both he and Craig Kukuk rececieved there belts in 1992. Ken was given his black belt buy Reylson Gracie back in 1992. (ken is on the middle right of the photo)
