- APRIL 2006 - Started training with a Gracie Barra affiliate. There were no black belts at that time, so every once in a while Kazeka Muniz would travel to the PI to conduct seminars and belt promotions.
- OCTOBER 2007 - Promoted to Blue Belt by Alvin Aguilar
- 2008 - Out due to elbow injury
- 2007-2012 - balancing life vs jiu jitsu and sandbagging at blue belt
