About Me:

Hi, my name is Carlo and I have much love for the martial arts and the peaceful philosophy with it. I'm a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California and have been studying the martial arts for six years, primarily in Kung Fu Eagle Claw and Long Fist Wushu, as well as studying Yang Style Tai Chi for five years on a personal and academic level. I've also had the privilege of studying in other martial arts styles such as Capoeira, aikido, wrestling and with grapplers. I have also had the privilege of studying Capoeira with Amir Solsky, who was featured on the history channel’s Fight Science.
In addition to the martial arts I've been weights for strengthening and conditioning for 10 years, and find them to be very effective in martial arts training when used the right way. In high school I played water polo for 4 years and made all city my junior year. I had always wanted to do martial arts but could never afford it. So when I had the chance I saved up what I could to start practicing. Now that I'm teaching people it feels great to pass on knowledge that has helped me learn to defend myself and get through life.
