I'm just a prior Marine that is making it in the civilian world. Just got out of the Corps after 12+ glorious years. Spent more than half that time in deployed to various lovely third worlds around the globe. Nothing like adventure and travel paid for by the governement! A gov't that once you are injured in the line of duty...casts you aside and treats you like a third class citizen. I swear illegals have more rights than disabled vets do.
Then 9/11 and all hell broke loose. I have served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Nothing like the GWOT! So yes, I have seen the beast and he is all consuming and will never be full. There are those that know what I'm talking about and those that hopefully never will. War is nothing but politics by another means...and I NEVER wantyed to be a politician.
Life is to short...make sure you live it.Go for it....whatever you want to do...make sure you live with no regrets.
When I got out of the Marine Corps in Feb 07 I moved out to the East Coast from the West Coast and I'm getting used to the culture shock. It's not the best place in the world but I'm getting used to it. Miss my SoCal weather!!
What else...hmmm....I have kids. I have debt. I have FUN.
