Alan Shebaro-Chief Instructor:

Alan Shebaro began his military career in 1995 as a Light Weight Vehicle Mechanic. He then transferred to the 2/354th Field Artillery where he served as a Drill Sergeant for Initial Entry Training (IET) soldiers. After 9/11, Mr. Shebaro wanted to pursue a more active role in the Global War On Terrorism. He graduated from the U.S. Army Special Forces Qualification Course as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant. As a “Green Beret” Alan Shebaro was a Special Forces Operator / Assaulter / Sniper with an elite US Army Special Operations Anti/Counter Terrorism Unit whose primary mission was Direct Action (DA) missions and conducting Counter Insurgency Operations. Mr. Shebaro was the Chief Combatives Instructor for this unit, responsible for developing, implementing and refining a customized program to prepare Special Operations Soldiers for combat. Mr. Shebaro served in a critical role as a senior advisor for Iraq’s Tier One Unit, the Iraqi Counter Terrorist Force (ICTF). He trained these elite soldiers in Direct Action, Hostage Rescue, Mission Planning and led them on numerous combat missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Mr. Shebaro also played an integral role in conducting Tactical Training with the Iraq Counter Terrorist Force (ICTF), Iraqi Special Operations Forces (ISOF) and Iraqi Commandos. Alan Shebaro is in a class of his own, being the only “Green Beret” to be part of an elite Special Operations unit with extensive combat experience combined with possessing a highly ranked martial arts background.

Martial Arts:
Professor Shebaro earned his Black Belt from Mr. Machado in 2004 and is currently ranked as a 2 stripe Black Belt under Carlos Machado. He was 1 of only 4 Black Belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the U.S. Army and is the first and only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt in Special Forces Regiment. Mr. Shebaro has trained extensively in Muay Thai Kickboxing both in the US and in Thailand with Saekson Janjira.  Alan has also trained some of today’s leading Mixed Martial Artists, such as Travis Lutter, Guy Mezger, and Tim Kennedy, preparing them to compete in events such as UFC, Pride, King of the Cage, Art of War and IFL.  Most importantly, Mr. Shebaro has trained a broad spectrum of operators during his deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. These operators included Army Special Forces from all Groups (Active Duty and National Guard), Army Rangers, Navy SEALs, Air Force Special Operations, Tactical Air Control Party (TACPs), Combat Controllers (CCTs), and Marine Force Recon. The curriculum covers various close quarters combat techniques including Special Operations Close Quarters Combatives (SOCQC) and Emergency Reaction Training (ERT) specifically tailored for combat and life threatening situations.  Mr. Shebaro led John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School Combatives (JFKSWCS) Team to take 1st place in the 2006 All Army Combatives Tournament in Ft. Benning Georgia. He served as the Team Captain of the 12-member team. Mr. Shebaro hand selected team members then trained and coached them in multiple levels of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Wrestling, Wrestling, Judo, Pancrase Fighting, and Mixed Martial Arts fighting.  Mr. Shebaro also trained both SFARTAEC and 82nd Airborne Division Chief Combatives Instructors to refine Training, Tactics, and Procedures (TTP’s) in the areas of restraint and control techniques, competitive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Submission Wrestling.  Alan Shebaro has spent a great deal of time training members of the greater Dallas, Ft.
