Urijah Faber (born May 14, 1979 in Isla Vista, California) is an American professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. Faber is one of the most popular fighter's in the world and is noted for bringing populairty to fighter's in lighter weight classes below the UFC's lowest weight class of 155-pounds. Faber won the WEC featherweight (145-pound) title at WEC 19 on March 17, 2006 and held the title for over two years until his lost to Mike Brown at WEC 36 on November 5, 2008. Prior to his loss to Mike Brown, Faber was ranked the #1 featherweight fighter in the world by various media outlets. Faber trains out of his gym Ultimate Fitness in Sacramento, California and competes in the WEC featherweight division.
