Ramon Dekker

Ramon Dekkers is a Dutch former professional kickboxer who was famous for being an 8 times Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion. From Breda, Holland. He was the most famous foreign kickboxer in Thailand in the 1990s. He was also the first foreigner to be bestowed the "Muay Thai Fighter of the Year" award.

Biography
Youth
He learned judo for a few months as his first martial arts when he was 12 years old. And then, he began to learn boxing for a year. After that, he finally started practicing Muay Thai under coach/stepfather Cor Hammers. He won the first title of Dutch national championship when he was 18 years old in November 15,1987.

In 2005, he challenged to K-1 Hero's under Mixed martial arts rule. He fought against Genki Sudo a Japanese mixed martial artist, but he quickly lost by heel hook submission.
