Maurição Motta Gomes grew up training with the Gracie family and is one of a select few to be promoted to Black Belt by Rolls Gracie. He later married Reila Gracie who is the daughter of Carlos Gracie Sr. He is the father of Roger Gracie, who has been putting his mark on the BJJ world as of late. Maurição is the head instructor of Gracie Barra UK (London) and is know as a very technical instructor.
