SEKKJBA is a Blended Art with origins in Hawaii. It’s an offshoot of CHA3 Kenpo Karate Brotherhood, founded many Decades ago. CHA3 was ahead of its time at the time of its formation. But Changing ideas and realizations of key martial art techniques and principles, led a group of instructors with their origins of CHA3 training in Murray KY to break off and form their own Association. Our Chief Instructor was then promoted to the Rank of Professor by his own instructor body. SEKKJBA Is a mix of Traditional Arts and training with modern ideas, further blended by the incorporation of use full Philosophies and techniques from other Martial Arts. SEKKJBA is geared for street training and nasty realistic street scenarios. What we are not geared for is Point sparring Tournaments or even such Fighting Arenas such as UFC and Pride. All of which hinder our teachings of no rules in a real fight. While we emphasize no rule fighting and hardcore training. We realistically understand that training cannot be taken to the extreme for safety reasons; we do take it as close to the real as we can.

Professor Robert Myers was in the navy in the early 60's and was stationed on Hawaii. In his last year he joined some associates and was introduced to CHA3 Kenpo ( http://www.cha3kenpo.com/ ). Training was brutal and hardcore especially for people of non Hawaiian descent. Shortly before his term in the navy was up Professor Myers was awarded his black belt.

Once back home in Murray KY. Myers attended Murray State University. He decided just practicing the art wasn't enough to retain and decided to teach it. years later aftyer the original students left and moved on they started getting back together

Southeastern Kenpo was officially formed in 1983 after a few head instructors desired to become Chief Instructors and further modernize the ART.
