Anderson Silva vs. Nick Diaz
I do not see where Diaz can win this fight unless Silva comes back a former shell of himself. Diaz is a great striker and submission artist, but Silva is has great takedown defense and is a better striker. It will be weird to see if the tough as nails Diaz can be finished, but that is what will happen when Silva finishes Diaz in the third round.
Tyron Woodley vs. Kelvin Gastelum
Gastelum is a good fighter, but he usually relies on his takedowns and ground game to win fights. What will happen when he is unable to take his opponent down? That is what will happen here and Woodley has huge knockout power. He will make it messy but Woodley wins by decision in this fight.
Joe Lauzon vs. Al Iaquinta
Lauzon is a finisher but he has lost in fights he should have won before. That will not happen here though, because Iaquinta’s weakness is submissions. Eventually, Lauzon gets it to the ground and picks up a first round submission win.
Thales Leites vs. Tim Boestch
Boestch is a tough fighter but unless Leites slips up this is his fight to lose. If he can get the fight to the ground then he can obtain a submission, but even worse is his knockout power has started to show. Boestch will falter in this fight in the second round by whatever Leites can finish him in first.
Jordan Mein vs. Thiago Alves
A tough and gritty fighter will win this fight but will it be the young one or the veteran? While Alves is only 31, he has only fought one time in the last three years and that will ultimately hurt him. Mein is too long and tall for Alves to catch and Mein will win by a decision victory.
