UFC FIGHT ANNOUNCEMENT

UFC Fight Announcement: Lightweight Title Fight

Rafael dos Anjos vs. Donald Cerrone

No one has had to win more than eight straight fights before getting a title shot and the same goes for Donald Cerrone. After winning eight straight after his loss to RDA, he will now fight the newly minted champion in his first title defense. In that same span. RDA only four in eight fights. This will be a big fight, between two people that no one ever thought would be fighting for a title let alone hold one.

UFC Fight Announcement: UFC Fight Night 72

Michael Bisping vs. Thales Leites

This is a big fight for the Middleweight division, and the big question will be if Bisping can win two fights in a row anymore. He has not won two fights in a row since 2011. Also, it will answer whether or not Leites still can be a title challenger since Bisping only losses to people who fight for the title since three of his four last losses have eventually fought for a title.

Ross Pearson vs. Evan Dunham

In the co-main event of this card, Dunham and Pearson will fight to stay relevant at Lightweight. Dunham and Pearson’s records have gone 2-3 and 2-2-1 in their last five fights respectively. Dunham picked up a win over Rodrigo Damm after three straight losses, and Pearson picked up KO wins over Sam Stout and Gray Maynard around losses to Diego Sanchez and Al Iaquinta.

UFC Fight Announcement: UFC 190

Patrick Cummins vs. Rafael Cavalcante

Cummins and Calvalcante were thought to be contenders in the Light-Heavyweight division at one time, but recent losses have set them back in their championship pursuits. Cavalcante has posted a 1-2 record over his two year UFC career. The only win was against a UFC washout sandwiched by losses to Thiago Silva and Ryan Bader. After losing his debut, Cummins posted three straight wins, but ran into the birck wall that is OSP where he was swiftly finished in the first round.
