UFC Fight Night 57 Predictions

UFC Fight Night 57 Predictions has some big events but who will win?

UFC Fight Night 57 Predictions: Main Event

Cub Swanson vs. Frankie Edgar

Both of these fighters are angling for a rematch with current champion Jose Aldo. Edgar has picked up two wins since his title fight loss, but even a third may not net him another fight. Swanson has gone 6-1 int he UFC and one more win may put him in that rematch. In this fight, it is five round though and Edgar is notoriously hard to finish. His wrestling, technical striking, and submission game will be enough to top Swanson.

UFC Fight Night 57 Predictions: Co-Main Event

Bobby Green vs. Edson Barboza

A fight between two of the hardest hitting and dynamic strikers at 155 is an intriguing matchup for anyone to watch. Green has won four straight since joining the UFC while Barboza has had amazing wins and losses going 8-2 in the promotion. Green should use his wrestling to fight off Barboza, but the issue is that he will most likely not do that. In a standup battle, Barboza wins by knockout.

UFC Fight Night 57 Predictions: Main Card

Brad Pickett vs. Chico Camus

Pickett is a good fighter, but as he gets up there in age he is not going to be as fast as his opponents. Even though Camus is six years younger, he has not shown anyone the ability to get past Pickett. Look for Pickett to secure a choke and finish the fight in the second round.

Joseph Benavidez vs. Dustin Ortiz

Ortiz is a great fighter, but the issue is he does not have the skills to beat Benavidez. The Alpha Male fighter is a better wrestler, has harder hands, and a better submission game. That is a lot to overcome, but he will unfortunately not be able to. Benavidez will not finish the fight but take a pretty sound decision over Ortiz.

Matt Wiman vs. Isaac Vallie-Flagg

Wiman has been out nearly two years after his title dreams were dashed in a fight where he was knocked out against TJ Grant. Even worse though is Vallie-Flagg who is coming off two straight losses and may be reaching the end of his career since he is nearly 37. Wiman even with the two years off is still only 31 and has the skills to win this fight by gritty decision.
