UFC Fight Night Hunt vs Nelson Recap

UFC Fight Night Hunt vs Nelson Recap has Mark Hunt rising up the ladder to maybe an eventual title shot. Who is the next person standing in his way?

UFC Fight Night Hunt vs Nelson Recap Winners

Mark Hunt vs. Josh Barnett

Hunt wants a quick turnaround and Barnett recently took a grappling match to prepare to get back in the cage. So, now that he has stepped back on the mats lets get him back in that cage so Hunt can compete in Australia.

Myles Jury vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov

Both fighters have huge win streaks in the Lightweight division. Nurmagomedov should be next in line for a title shot but having him sit out for so long has hurt his chances. Jury just lit up Takanori Gomi and has great wrestling. It is time for one of these young guys to get a title shot, but a fight between the two will tell which one is ready for it.

Yoshihiro Akiyama vs.Thiago Alves

Both are fighters who had extended layoffs and were great fighters before a few losses. They both seem to have the desire to continue to fight and a fight between them would be a great co-main event for a Fight Night event. Fan favorites matched up usually seem to draw lines in the sand, but at this point in their careers only one veteran like them is needed at 170.

Miesha Tate vs. Sarah Kaufman

Tate has picked up two straight wins but neither of them were shown to have a desperate need to finish the fight. Kaufman is clamoring for a rematch with Ronda Rousey and the biggest gauge for that is to see how she can do against a former title challenger in Tate. Plus, matching Tate up with someone who beat her may give her the fire to finish a fight for once.

Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Jussier Formiga

Formiga wants a title shot but his chin is questionable. He has been knocked out twice in the UFC already. Horiguchi is a monster on the feet and can challenge Formiga’s chin. Also, Formiga is a monster on the ground and may be able to answer questions about Horguchi’s ground game. This seems like the logical next step for them in their UFC careers.

Masanori Kanehara vs. Urijah Faber

This is the fight that was supposed to happen and Kanehara stepped up and beat the late replacement in Alex Caceres. Now, he deserves to get the match he signed up for and challenge Faber for a spot in the top five. Regardless of his losses outside of the UFC this is the match he earned with his win.

UFC Fight Night Hunt vs Nelson Recap Losers

Roy Nelson vs. Antonio Silva

Both fighters are on a down turn and may soon be out of the UFC with their accumulating losses. Nelson and Silva are both big punchers and would make a great main event despite their recent drought from wins. Match this two up and show who deserves to still stay in the top ten of heavyweight.

Rin Nakai vs. Juliana Pena

Nakai got the rough end of the stick being matched up with a top five fighter in her debut. Pena has been out due to injury and upon her return needs a good fight to reacquaint her with the fight game. Nakai is a good fight her and a good fight for Nakai to still get her feet wet in the UFC.

Alex Caceres vs. Joe Soto

Both fighters were shown to be tough but they may have some trouble staying in the top ten if they continue to lose. Lets match Caceres up with Soto to see who deserves to stay in the big fights. Hard to deny they both of them need to prove they are worth their stay.

Check back later this week as we break down another up coming card. Thanks for checking out our UFC Fight Night Hunt vs Nelson Recap.
