Ultimate Fight Night 59 Fights Announced

Ultimate Fight Night 59 already has the main event of Conor McGregor taking on Dennis Siver, but a  big fight was just announced for the card.

Ultimate Fight Night 59

Ultimate Fight Night 59 added three big fights to the card including a stellar co-main event.

Ultimate Fight Night 59 takes place on January 18thin Boston Massachusetts and as previously mentioned the main event will be Conor McGregor against Dennis Siver in a fight that with a win could give McGregor a title shot. The two people that were looking to get to a title shot also sit in the co-main event of Ultimate Fight Night 59.

Benson Henderson lost his title in the first round in a rematch to Anthony Pettis last year. He went on to win two fights in a row previously this year with wins over Josh Thomson and Rustam Khabilov. Unfortunately, a flash knockout loss to Rafael dos Anjos took him out of the hunt. He may have chance to start over again come the beginning of next year.

He will be facing off against none other than Bellator import and another former Lightweight champion in Eddie Alvarez. After years of court battles and a few fights, Alvarez finally made his debut in the UFC to mixed results. He took on Donald Cerrone which he lost by decision. With a win over Henderson, he may be able to erase the memory of that loss.

Also on the card is another Lightweight fight between two fighters looking to crack the top ten. Jorge Masvidal has won three straight fights since his loss to the aforementioned Khabilov which has sat him at #13 in the rankings. His opponent is TUF Smashes winner Norman Parke who has yet to lose in the UFC winning four straight fights. Parke is not the only TUF winner added to the card, as Urijah Hall makes his return to the Octagon. After losing his first two fights, Hall has stormed back with two straight wins including struggling through a broken toe. Now, he faces off with former top ten Middleweight Costas Philippou. This free card is shaping up to be a great card. Who else could be added to this Boston card. Joe Lauzon perhaps?
